Herman's Own Peanut Brittle
Ingredients:
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
12 ounces Pear's Gourmet Raw Spanish Peanuts
Combine the corn syrup, sugar, butter and salt. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add Herman's Raw Spanish Peanuts, stirring constantly until peanuts become light brown or until candy thermometer reach 300 degrees. Remove from heat. Quickly add 1 tsp. baking soda. Beat by hand until frothy. Pour into a greased shallow pan. When brittle is cool, break into pieces. Store in airtight container.
